2012 Bellbrae Estate Heathcote Shiraz

The 2012 Vintage was a cracker for Shiraz across almost all of Victoria including the Surf Coast and Geelong area. Ours was no exception. In an opportune moment that vintage, winemaker, David Crawford managed to access a parcel of special Heathcote fruit from a premium vineyard. We only made a couple of barrels, and it has been developing beautifully over the past decade. This will be its last release. It is a wonderful expression of the intensity of Heathcote shiraz but with the richness some bottle age can bring. It could easily be cellared for longer but is drinking wonderfully now.
